Grab a pen and some paper and get scribbling for National Writing Day on June 27.
The importance of reading is well-known but the skills and enjoyment gained from writing are often over-looked. The aim of National Writing Day is to support people in putting their stories onto paper whether it be from their imagination, factual accounts or simply penning their thoughts.
Personally I think this is a good excuse to buy some new stationery and start filling all those lovely blank pages with ideas for a new story and I’m also thinking of who would like to receive a hand-written letter.
So forget swiping and get writing!
